This week, we are talking about Edward James Nease. In 1962, he enlisted in the Air Force, serving as a nuclear and conventional weapons specialist on a weapons crew for the F-105 “Thunderchief”, until 1966. Ed was excited to go on his honor flight this fall, but unfortunately, he passed away June 8 2023. Today, we are pleased to welcome his daughter to the show, to help preserve his memories and to talk about why its important to share veteran's stories in any way we can.

This week, the Valor Vault Features an interview with Jack Douglas Sumner, a former supply officer from the United States Corps of Cadets at West Point, a retired support platoon leader at the 12th infantry regiment, who currently lives in Junction city Oregon. Jack attended his Honor Flight in October of 2019, and his grandson served as his guardian for the flight.

In our premier episode, we are proud to feature an interview with WWII veteran Vern Thompson. Vern retired from the US Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1984. He served in the US Navy in WWII. He passed away on July 21, 2020 at the age of 95.
